My main goal with this project was to show individual personality through the look development of canvas and leather materials. I used Substance Sampler to turn vector images into embroidered patches, focusing on an outdoorsy theme to portray that this backpack might belong to someone who enjoys camping or hiking. Guided by my gathered reference images, I paid special attention to areas on the backpack that might be worn down more from continued use, such as the flaps and drawstrings.
Surfaced in Substance Painter and rendered in RenderMan under the guidance of Caleb Kicklighter and Jeff Nichols. I am responsible for all look development and rendering.
