Still work made for Texas A&M SIGGRAPH's 36-hour CG competition, Gigajam, Spring 2024.
One Man's Trash was created in 36 hours for Gigajam, a timed computer graphics competition hosted by Texas A&M's chapter of SIGGRAPH. 6 different schools across 3 countries participated in the event, and it was judged entirely by animation industry professionals. One Man's Trash was awarded Best in Still Work.
Participants were required to create work related to Gigajam's given prompt, "On Thin Ice". Our team went for a metaphorical interpretation of the prompt. The possum is blinded by his determination to snag the apple, failing to realize he’s hanging from a phone line on its last leg.
I was responsible for modeling the rodent poison and fence, as well as surfacing the apple, wire, needle, rodent poison, fence, wall, and bottle. My other team members were Adrianne (AJ) Ross, Amanda Urrutia, and Trace Block.
Programs used were Autodesk Maya, Houdini, RenderMan, and Nuke.
